FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

WHERE DOES THE NAME COME FROM?

The name melonberries is derived from a humorous dining experience. One day, the founders of melonberries were out to breakfast. A delicious belgian waffle was ordered, and the waiter asked what type of fruit was wanted on the waffle. "Berries" was the reply. The waiter asked, "what type of berries?" The order was specified, "just some mixed berries."

A few minutes later, the waiter returned with the food. The waffle was covered in mixed berries: watermelon berries, cantelope berries, and honeydew berries. What started as an inside joke has now become a global empire intent on clothing the world in designer fashion and feeding them semi-ficticious melonberries.

WHAT IS A MELONBERRY?

A rare, juicy, and delicious type of berry sometimes found in small waffle shops in Southern California. They have a strange shape for a berry. If I had to compare them to something you have seen, I would say they slightly resemble sliced melons. The taste varies and is hard to describe. There is a greenish type of melonberry which has a sweet almost honey-like taste. The semi-transparent red melonberry has a more "watery" taste and is very refreshing. There is a third type of meonberry, orange in color. If I were forced to compare the texture and taste of this orange melonberry to something earthly you mave have come across, I would have to say it somewhat strongly reminds me of a cantalope.
